Asianet, stop this cheap and barbaric act of mocking Imran for his overweight. All were taking turns to insult him. Hey ,literates and learned musicians of the channel, please do understand the fact that obesity is a clinical condition of the body and commenting on other peole's deformities is not the way to derive pleasure. The channel is treating him like a joker. All are focussing on his physique more than his song. By such actions in a popular programme like this, they are giving a wrong image of the people of Kerala to others. Imran should react to it.
P.S. Regarding the judgement ,no sound judgement is happening with loads of marks for everybody. One of the judges told the contestant that, he liked his joke so will give more marks. If this is the trend, now all the other participants will be very busy learning some jokes, so that they can crack it next time and be benefitted with few additional marks. If they are not improving the quality of judgement this will not be a popular programme anymore.

Agree. Even Remya was sounding artifical tonight. I think Asianet is coaching her to make those stupid comments about Imran. She is usually spontaneous. I think Judges are insulting him and throwing marks at him.

The comments really were barbaric. It give a wrong signal that such comments are welcome in our society.
Even yesterday's group song had a bad taste. It was highlighted in last Sunday's Kannadi by Shri Gopakumar very rightly.
Please don't encourage sadistic pleasures.
It can not be compared with some of our leading actors making fun of themselves in their films.
This tendency of seeking sadistic pleasures should be openly condemned.
Those who had commented on Imran's obesity should openly and unconditionally tender apologies through the same channel.

What is the role of a physical condition in a singer's career? Has the Judge - M.G.Sreekumar seen himself in the mirror? He has a Pear shaped body.. Usha Uthup is no slim n trim either. Had this been in the US or UK. the contestant could have taken the channel for court for personal insult. This is as serious as a racial remark. The whole idea of the programme is farce and is a big gimmick. Nobody knows what they are doing or saying on the show!! Mallu audience is so naive and can easily be fooled!! I dont blame the channel or the sponsors.. GROW UP AUDIENCE, quit this show and move on.. use the money you spend on smsing the already fixed/shot shows to buy goodies for your kids or give alms to the beggars!!

I think it is very sad to see the judges using imran as a clown for the audience...they should respect him and appreciate his music rather than concentrating on his appearance abnd weight...shame on asianet...u can try and make as much entrtainment as u like u u cant beat idea star singer 2007
