The main reason we all hate you is not because, you dont speak perfect malayalam, its because you are so stupid and cant even speak one intelligent sentence on television.
You make us all vomitt, with your stupid acts. Today you act with Nishant on stage, your giggling is worst than a donkey's performance.
How much education did you had before you came to asianet.
If malayalees hate Renjini Haridas it is their problem, not hers. I have always found her to be witty and her not sticking to "chaste malayalam", makes the show interesting and understandable to NRKs.

Just tell us how many jayasree warriers are there in malayalam television now. Renjini represents the current generation of malayalees who are all over India and the world. She is herself, n she's not pretending to be a pucca malayali.

our malayalees should learn one thing. this is not the old generation now things have changed and people are educated and majority of the children were studied outside. so these narrow minded people should think that if any one wear good dress or speak good language they get envy because they can't do or they will not get chance. most of the malayaless tendency still remain unchanged if a lady speak with a man they know only one relation (premam) irrespective of age . even this is happening not only in kerala but keralites who settled outside too. the fact is that no other nationalities have this type of disease except keralites. and if any one is capable or highly qualified or talented than these people they will try their maximum to pull one's leg. they never think that like them others also came for earning. this attitude should change. this is only they have lack of education or they may not have good family background or confidence etc. renjini is the right person for idea star singer since through her charming personality and positive attitude singers are getting more support than ever. always she got positive attitude, she is supportive and she behave well with everybody irrespective of caste creed color. In the new generation people those who criticize her should learn plus point from her. also people are criticizing always M.G and sharath like pot belly etc. this is their personal matter. why others should bother of their figures or features. there are lot to do in your own house or your own life. think good and do good things instead of wasting your health and brain to waste minus points of others. this type of negative mentality will ruin one's health and time. when our kerala will improve or the mentality of this type of people change. may be further 100 years. still after 7.p.m. no one is able to move alone in kerala becoz our kerala is dogs' own kerala. i could see a lot of posts above telling that malayalees are narrow minded , that is why they don't like the way Ranjani haridas anchor ISS . I did see a few episode of ISS , though i am not a regular viewer . I do agree that she is irritating with the way she speaks Malayalam ( if i can call the language she speak as malayalam ) . I like my mother tounge and when i see her on TV , i feel like she is killing my mother toungue .. If you are telling that i am narrow minded , that is why i feel like that .... pity on you dear .. It is pity that people like mrs Girish identify themself as malayaleess.. First try to respect your mother tounge . And dear preethi , you can find lot of anchors who speak good malayalam and still will not bore the viewrs ... These channel just need to do a proper talent hunting .. If you tell me that speaking decent malayalam is boaring , shame on you !

It looks like Keralites especially Mr Sreekanadan Nair of Asianet is so obsessed with people who pretend not to know Malayalam inspite of having been born and brought up in Kerala. That's the reason he has decided to retain Ms Ranjini Haridas as the anchor for Idea Star Singer 2008. What a shame!!!!!!
I fail to understand as to why should anyone like Ranjini Haridas who sees Malayalam culture with contempt be glorified so much on a popular malayalam television channel like Asianet. I'm passing this comment after having read through one of her interviews for a malayalam magazine. Not many people are aware of the fact that her fake accent was acquired after her stint at working at a call centre in Bangalore. Working in a call centre requires one to alter his or her accent in order to cater to international clients. There is no reason why she has to fake her accent. I have been born and brought up in Bangalore and I'm proud to say that I can speak, read and write Malayalam fluently.
I have been watching Idea Star Singer from 2007. Asianet's efforts to promote new talent is laudable but the anchor is such a disgrace. To describe in simple words, Ms Ranjini Haridas is a big "show of". If one can notice her anchoring the show, her mannerisms and body language are so clumsy which is totally unexpected of an anchor who seems to be "stylish". She is either running her fingers through her mane or dabbing her face with her hand to check if her makeup is proper. It is so disgusting. But she seems to be unpertubed and unfazed by all the criticism because she is here to make money.
Well I think we need a change for Idea Star Singer 2008 by hiring a new anchor.

RAnju was needlessly criticised for her Manglish. She is boldest and most outspoken but is a most wonderful person.She has relented because of the favourable feedback from several. i just got to see todays episode of idea star singer(08/12/08) im not a frequent watcher of this prog.nyways, the elimination round was pathetic... there was an anchor other than renjini & she sucks.. she gives hope to this dude(who gets eliminated) & then tells the result. what a b****. give some respect for that guy's feelings.

Renjini is grace and charm personified, effervescent had oodles of verve,carm,grace and confidence and a wonderful husky voice.Little known to most she is the most amazing singer and musician with an incredible repertoire.Any way I guess everyone has their own preferences with regard to anchors.

I do watch ISS & have gone through all the comments. The Question here is whether people like her or not.Perceptions differs from person to person and its the personal choice ... she is fairly OK as a presenter BUT as a PERSON i dont like her.(Because of various reason)
If a person has to win hearts of ALL MASSES (I AM NOT TALKING SO CALLED NRI's) people should have their feet grounded on the floor and also should never forget the ROOTS. REnjini acts as if she is from another planet (not a mallu )

After having read about Ranjini (the fact that she was trained at a call centre in Bengaluru & that she completed her MBA from the UK), I can now understand where that disgusting MANGLISH & corresponding accent is coming from! The odd english word here & there is more than welcome to creep up when one may not be able to find the apt malayalam word - however in Ranjini's case this is not so. She speaks as though this were a programme meant for non-malayalees! When ISS 2008 started off with a different anchor, I was so relieved - but the relief was so short-lived when I saw Ranjini back with full force! Her mannerisms on stage are utterly nauseating. Why does she not know how to behave on the stage? I have also noted on a number of occasions that she interrupts the judges with silly / useless comments & also answers questions posed to the contestants as if they don't know how to answer them! It seems that she is desperate for all the attention! Isn't she getting enough already!? I am now in the habit of muting the TV every time this lady opens her mouth - unavoidable! I have tried my best to accept her, but she is spoiling the whole show & putting people like me off watching it in the future. I know a lot of people may not agree with my outlook (coz most of the comments previous to mine are pro Ranjini), but then this forum is for people to voice their honest opinions on ISS. I sincerely hope Asianet takes the decision to change the anchor for ISS '09. Will you Asianet - please???

I am not a Malayalee and I am residing outside India. I recently started watching Asianet and the program I like the most is Idea star Singer, The contestants are simply awesome and standards are very high compared to other languages. Coming to the Anchor,Ranjani, she is just amazing. Guys please understand this show has got a mass reach because of Ranjani. Do you guys expect this program to be for Malayalees only ?. The way she presents is simply awesome, watch other language shows, you will know the value of your state anchor. I am very much impressed with her accent.My non-indian friend also started watching the program just because she is able to follow what the anchor is saying.She is the Symbol of pride for Star Singer show. My humble request to Star singer organisers is please dont change her anytime.

ISS 2007 was better compared to 2008... vivekanandan,Soniya, Prasobh..goin great.... Judges also fantastic in helping the participants to improve their talents..the only thing I HATE abt ISS is the Anchor..She can be atleast decent in presenting herself on the stage.. her expressions are horrible..One more comment..Didi as a member of main Panel of Judges is not welcomed ... shes not not at all giving genuine or sincere comments...

Renjinihas her own developed style, excellant penounciation techniques, vivacious presentation, an anchor of repute and passion of keralites among others, she shouls continue her style atleast as she dwells in the Rosebowl channel, and maintain her individuality without letting ears to fools and does'nt know state-of art presentations

I am watching ISS from 2007 onwards. Her accent may not be good, but she is having her own style and this makes her difference. Whatever her styles be, at last her performance is superb...That is important....we don't have to worry too much of her accent...So I think most of the malayalees do not hate her.....they love her.....or they admire her.....i dont know what to say.......and also one more thing.......The way she is interacting with the participants which gives them a great boost.....

Much have been talked and commented. Shameless girl. To my knowledge 50-60% people want to avoid seeing her fractured face. She herself is acting as judge above than the real judges. one more idea star singer is on the exit; beginning of season 5. lot many criticisms regarding judges and Renjini.
the current judges are impartial and unbiassed. first, the contestants must be humble to the judges and to their whatesover comments.we have the best three judges in this earth.
The aukward comments by Dany Sebastian itself during an elimination round just shows his meanness, disloyalty and disrespect with a malcontency and towering feeling.
Mr. M.G Sreekumar is not at all a biased person. He speaks and encourages and cherus up.
